first week in espana

okay well sonja and i started our adventure to spain on the 12 of january! travels were safe, but we still dont have luggage. we started off in madrid and then ventured to barcelona. in madrid we were staying with friends of people i know... such a blessing. in barcelona we have been staying in a hostel. it is quite interesting. we have meet lots of fun people and some well... anyway, we have seen so much! just to list a few things we have seen are the following:
picasso museum
parado museum
the royal palace
many cathedrals
plaza mayor
plaza de sol
parc de montjuic
museu olympic i del' esport (the place where the olympics were held)
FC Barcelona stadium
castles
yummy places to eat
oh and so much more :]
it has been a good start to a fantastic semester to come. it has been chilly here and raining off and on, but the lighting makes for better pictures. it has been lots of fun to travel with my best friend. who would of thought 15 years ago we would be doing this? we are back to madrid tonight and then wednesday will part ways to start a new adventure! i will be off to sevilla and sonja is off to africa. i'd love to hear from you :]
ps i have been trying to upload pictures but it is challenging so stay tuned.

WOW you gals have been busy! I love your pics. Spain is beautiful! I want to hear about all the interesting things you've been eating, too! well i dont think i have pictures of the hostel sorry!!! interesting things we have been eating are like paella (i am still not sure what this is but like rice with seafood... maybe like jumbolia that is not spicy), YUMMY pastries, lots of bread, tapas (like appetizers), yummy coffee con leche, churros con xocholate (that is how they spell it barcelona), pasta... and so much more :] we are currently eating greek yogart, chips, and fruit lol! just a nice little snack :] i will talk to you soon! um oh the people in the hostels well some were great and some not so great lol. oh the wonders of traveling! i am getting comfortable speaking spanish too which is really fun for me! thanks for the prayers i need them! love you <3

hhmm what does it smell like it? well lets see. it smells like ORANGES and dog poop and horse poop, but mostly ORANGES :]

You really are the coolest! I am so jealous! Everything looks so amazing so far! Sorry I had to log off so soon the other night...but I am pretty sure I got good grades on both of the midterms I was studying for : ) I want to hear more about the hostile! AND missy you are allowed to drink in Spain so get on that already! Also how is the search for a spanish boyfriend going? I love you! I hope you keep having a fantastic time!

you are so cute... all i have to say is i have everything under control ;] i am so proud you did well on your midterms... i would expect nothing less. ps i am so mad at myself that i didnt pay attention in high school during espanol... but i am going to say that i am SO glad that senora randazzo taught us the vosotros form!! thank you sra randazzo!!!!! okay anyway talk to you soon :]
